Dan Bailey Helps to Fight Domestic Violence

The kicker of the Dallas Cowboys, Dan Bailey, autographed some football memorabilia items, including NFL Pink products, to be placed in an auction with the proceeds benefitting Women Called Moses and Janice's Kids.

Women Called Moses Coalition and Outreach Inc. (WCM) is a non-profit organization primarily created to provide a secure shelter for battered women and their children.  The organization is committed to increasing awareness about the growing problem of domestic violence in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.  Their energy is directed toward fostering support services for these innocent victims of spousal and child abuse.  WCM will provide shelter, educational and job skill training at no cost to the families, for they believe that having stability and access to life's basic necessities will improve their self-esteem and help move them along the road to independence.

On November 11, 2008, Janice Carroll, and her mother Jeanne Carroll, were murdered inside their Dallas home by Janice's husband.  Jeanne was the advertising director for Feizy Imports, and Janice was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where her dream, of working with children at the Hill County CPS Agency started.  Later, she moved to the CPS office located in Dallas.

The Carroll family works to change a tragic event into a cause of helping children and families in need. In remembrance of Jeanne and Janice Carroll, they have started "Janice's Kids", which helps provide funds and essential needs to children in foster care, CPS and Community Partners of Dallas.  In honor of Jeanne and Janice Carroll, on 11/11 of each year, their lives are celebrated with the fundraiser by helping others, as Janice's dream was to "Save the World, One Child at a Time."

"Janice's Kids" 4th Annual Fundraiser will be on Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at Ozona Grill & Bar at 4615 Greenville Avenue in Dallas.  There will be a fashion show beginning at 2 p.m. followed by the auction at 6 p.m., but the benefit is all day.
