DALLAS, Texas (August 7, 2012)--- Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.

Owens’ signed with his new agent, Jordan Woy, of the Dallas-based agency in June.

Late Sunday evening, word spread that Owens had a tryout with the Seahawks on Monday, soon after the news that the team released wide receiver Antonio Bryant.

While playing for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, T.O. had 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdowns.  Owens missed all of the 2011 season following knee surgery.  The Seahawks will be Owens’ sixth NFL team following the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills and Bengals.

Following his signing, Owens tweeted “God is good. Thankful. Grateful. To ALL my new teammates & the “12th Man”…Let’s Do This!”

Additionally, Owens is on a roll with his other career, acting.  On Wednesday night, he makes a memorable appearance in the premiere of the new NBC sitcom, Go On, starring Matthew Perry.  The show will preview on Wednesday night following the Olympics.
